Converting the former St Leonard's Church is set to cost £2 million.
We are delighted that National Lottery players have pledged £950,000 via the Heritage Lottery Fund. In addition, we will use funds raised from the sale of the current town hall and museum building.
However, to unlock all of this funding we need to raise a further £600,000 to turn the Newton's Place dream into reality. Much of this we are seeking from other grant-making bodies, but we also need the support of local people and businesses.
Your donation will help make this exciting project possible.
